Buncha Tanti is an interior designer from Thailand who offers turnkey design services and also one of our volunteers in local Line group. We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to interview him. Here are some of his insights and thoughts.
What is your design style? Are there any specific decoration styles that you particularly like?
Fusion, modern, contemporary (depending on the client). And modern style is my best areas of expertise.
Where did you learn about design?
I graduated in software/IT and became a self-taught designer.
That must be a intriguing story! Who has influenced your preferences regarding design styles in this long journey?
Actually there is not a specific person who deeply influenced my design styles. As had mentioned, I learned to be a interior designer by my self, so I prefer to gain inspirations and ideas from the experience of myself. I learned from my childhood, my woodwork experience, the furniture workers and self-taught. My design style incorporates a lot of wood and is deeply associated with my personal experiences as well as exploration of what’s new and trending to incorporate in others’ designs.
What are your highest expectations in your design career?
My end goal is all about the customers. Satisfying their needs is the mission of interior designers.
How did you first discover Coohom? Why were you looking for programs other than the one you were using at that time?
I found Coohom on google. At that time I was searching for an appropriate design software for my program to design house.
What software did you use before switching to use Coohom?
I used to try Sketchup, but it failed to fully meet my requirements. Especially when I communicate with my clients, it is easier for me to use Coohom to export layout immediately to pdf files for clients to see. Customers always want to see immediately what their vision is. Previously it took very long to send files to clients for them to see their vision, but Coohom helps make it easier.
What do you think makes Coohom stand out from other design software?
I am a faithful user of Coohom for it really helps a lot in both design and client service. The thing I likes most about Coohom is that it really saves my time, because it has a variety of specialized functions in one system. I’d say it is a productivity tool with high efficiency. Another important advantage of Coohom is that it has lots of items in the public library which provide rich options for me in designs.
On the other hand, it’s also helpful when I try to establish a close rapport with clients. As is said above, clients always have the need to see the vision immediately. So fast rendering has become one of the most commonly used features in Coohom for me to satisfy them. Additionally, after receiving simple drawings from clients, Coohom can layout design and turn it into life into a 3D model for clients to see and be happy with.
Have you encountered any issues while using Coohom? What were those issues?
Program is not enough to turn into construction, I still have to put it into a different software in order to be able to construct. Ceiling design is limited, less textures (need to improve). Thailand has lots of designs and Coohom lacks them. Hope you can solve these problems in the future.
May I ask if you’re a member of other Coohom communities or part of any community groups related to Coohom, or if you’ve followed us on any social media platforms?
I would watch Coohom youtube if stuck on something. It is very useful for users to see what they want to see from Coohom.。
