In today’s fast-evolving design and technology landscape, creative education can no longer be confined to traditional classrooms and outdated tools. Tomorrow’s design leaders need fluency in emerging technology—from AI-powered workflows to professional-grade visualization—before they ever enter the workforce.
That is why Coohom launched Coohom Campus, a global educational initiative designed to make cutting-edge design tools accessible to all—students, educators, and aspiring designers in every corner of the world.

In the last year alone, through the Coohom Global Event program, we’ve partnered with 50+ institutions, design schools, and studios across nearly 10 countries, hosted 20+ large-scale in-person events, and connected with over 1,000 participants worldwide. From a 200+ strong landmark workshop in Vietnam, to immersive, faculty-led programs in India, to curriculum integrations in South Korea, these activities are helping to bridge the gap between education and industry, making high-impact design education truly global.

In lecture halls, design studios, and campus auditoriums from Ho Chi Minh City to New Delhi, Daegu to Jakarta, a quiet transformation is taking place. Screens light up, not with static floor plans, but with interactive 3D renderings. Students drag and drop furniture into digital rooms, rotate perspectives with a swipe, and watch as photorealistic lighting blooms in real time. Professors lean in, nodding—not because this replaces design fundamentals, but because it gives those fundamentals a faster, more intuitive path to reality.

This is Coohom Campus, our global education initiative, and over the last year it has reached further, engaged more deeply, and connected more people than ever before.

Immersing Students in Tools They’ll Use Beyond Graduation
In India, our collaboration with Boundless Design Academy brought Coohom into the classrooms of three prominent engineering colleges: Paavai Engineering College, St. Peter’s Engineering Colleges, and KPR Institute of Engineering & Technology.

At Paavai, 65 students and two professors explored Coohom over a focused 90-minute workshop. They tested:
- AI-powered design: Automated layout generation, suggesting optimized furniture arrangements to free up time for creative exploration.
- 3D modeling: Building room models that could be viewed from multiple angles.
- Rendering & visualization: Producing photorealistic stills and full 360° walkthroughs.

Professors remarked on the platform’s user-friendliness and its clear relevance to industry workflows. At KPR Institute, nearly 100 students registered, and faculty members began actively exploring how to integrate Coohom into next year’s curriculum.
The feedback from students was practical:
- “We can reduce our time and still make a good design.” — Manish, B.E. Civil (2nd Year)
- “Affordable, easy to use—this will be my tool of choice.” — Navee, M.E. Civil (2nd Year)
- “It’s cost-effective and more convenient than the other software we’ve used.” — Asha, B.E. Civil (2nd Year)
These numbers matter because each one represents young designers entering the workforce better prepared to use professional-grade tools from day one.
Landmark Moments: Vietnam’s Record-Breaking Workshop
In Vietnam, at the glass-walled conference facilities of Landmark 81—the tallest building in the country—over 210 teachers and students from the University of Architecture Danang gathered for what became our largest-ever educational event.

Over the course of the day, participants:
- Learned to navigate Coohom’s 1,000,000+ model library.
- Experimented with AI-assisted room creation.
- Watched their designs come alive in high-quality rendered scenes.
Energy in the room was palpable: smartphones were out, recording the moment when a student’s blank floor plan transformed into a photorealistic, fully furnished living room—in seconds.

For many attendees, this was the first time they had seen such capabilities available not in a high-cost, specialist lab, but on a standard laptop connected to a browser.
From Guest Lectures to Deep Curriculum Integration
In Indonesia, “Coohom Goes to Campus” brought two very different experiences to students.
At Universitas Pelita Harapan, local designer Adon Amrin combined personal storytelling and live demo: how staying updated with tools like Coohom reshaped his workflow, and how AI features can replace hours of repetitive work. Students followed along, reproducing his demo scene on their own laptops—learning by doing, not just watching.
At BINUS Bandung, Coohom Product Manager Ruina Du guided students through an end-to-end design process: from conceptual sketches to rendered outputs ready for construction. She made explicit links between creative vision and the technical precision needed for real-world projects, bridging the “imagination–implementation” gap. The room—full of aspiring interior designers—walked away not only with technical skills, but a new mental map for how to turn ideas into spaces.
Building Industry–Academia Bridges
One of our most structured models is the Daegu University partnership in South Korea, forged with furniture giant Hanssem.
A year of planning—including pandemic-era virtual strategy sessions across three cities—led to the signing of a strategic agreement and the launch of the EditHome & COOHOM Industry–University Collaboration Center.

Here’s what it means in practice:
- Co-developed courses within the Space Design major (ranked #2 in Korea, with 20 consecutive years of student wins in major global design competitions).
- Direct integration of Coohom’s EditHome engine into day-to-day coursework.
- Field trips to Hanssem facilities, graduate job fairs, and collaborative exhibitions.
- A dramatically reduced learning curve compared to traditional workflows (SketchUp + V-Ray + Lumion), with students able to complete high-quality projects more intuitively.

Professor Jung Kung Sook put it plainly:
“Students could walk through the whole design process more intuitively. The collaboration with Hanssem also gives us real-time insight into trending interior styles—fuel for refining and innovating our courses.”
Recognition at the Pinnacle of Business Education
Academic partnership isn’t only about tools in design schools. In the Organizational Behavior core curriculum at Harvard Business School, Coohom is studied as a business case.

Professors Anthony Mayo and Jon M. Jachimowicz use “A Case Study of Coohom” to explore our culture, strategy, and innovation model—extending a collaboration that began in 2021 with the “Growing Pains at Coohom” case in Harvard’s official collection.

For HBS students—many on track to lead companies across industries—analyzing Coohom offers a firsthand look at how a new-generation SaaS enterprise can grow globally while maintaining technology leadership.

A Truly Global Creative Community
Beyond formal collaborations, Coohom Global Event gathers and cross-pollinates designers, educators, and students worldwide.
Our three pillars are:
- Learn from the Best – Gain direct access to leading designers and workflows.
- Share Your Passion – Teach others, strengthen your network.
- Create Together – Collaborate across borders and disciplines.
These aren’t small meetups. Since inception:
- 50+ institutions & studios engaged
- Nearly 10 countries hosting events
- 1,000+ total offline participants
- Landmark 81 Vietnam: our record-setting single-event attendance at 200+ people
Looking Ahead
What we’ve seen in the past year convinces us of one thing: The future of design education is global, collaborative, and tech-powered.
Whether it’s a student in Coimbatore exploring AI-assisted layouts, a class in Jakarta walking through their first 3D-rendered apartment, or a Korean undergraduate presenting a portfolio built entirely in Coohom, the pattern is the same—skills are sharper, workflows are faster, and confidence is higher.
Now we want to scale that impact: expanding into Europe and Africa, launching a Global Student Design Challenge, and developing even closer ties between educators, industry leaders, and the Coohom developer community.
