As the global home furnishing industry gathers in China for the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF), embracing a new era of digital transformation and cross-border collaboration, Coohom seized the opportunity to deepen engagement beyond the exhibition halls. On September 11, we had the distinct pleasure of hosting an exclusive, hands-on factory tour, welcoming a diverse group of esteemed guests hailing from Portugal, Thailand, India and the United States to dive deep into the heart of China’s home furnishing innovation ecosystem.

The tour was designed as a strategic extension of CIFF, aiming to provide a hands-on experience that went beyond simple booth demonstrations. The goal was to bridge global perspectives, showcase tangible success stories of digital transformation, and allow international partners to experience firsthand how Chinese home furnishing enterprises are redefining efficiency, customization, and customer-centricity with the support by Kujiale, the China version of Coohom.

A Deep Dive into Digital Transformation at KUKA Home

The tour began with a visit to KUKA Home, a top-five furniture enterprise in China and a long-time Kujiale partner. Their partnership started in 2014 when KUKA first piloted the company’s 3D design tools. By 2016, Kujiale was rolled out across their entire national store network, positioning KUKA as a true industry pioneer. This early trust has since translated into tangible results, including a remarkable 7.5x revenue growth, reaching $210 million USD, all achieved without expanding their order review team.

Guided by KUKA’s own IT specialists, international guests were given an in-depth look on how Kujiale seamlessly integrates into each stage of the design-to-production workflow.

On the front-end, the system streamlines the process from initial design creation to placing orders, passing them through an automated review system that instantly flags errors. This ensures necessary corrections are made before an order is finalized, drastically reducing manual rework and enhancing operational accuracy. KUKA has achieved a first-time pass rate exceeding 85%, significantly minimizing delays.

The KUKA team also demonstrated Kujiale’s high-quality visualization tools, which enable designers to quickly generate photorealistic renderings and manufacturing-ready drawings from a unified platform. The KUKA team emphasized the system’s scale, noting it is deployed across all 2,000+ customized stores, processing over 99% of custom orders. Smart features like customizable pricing rules and pre-configured cabinet combinations were also showcased, capturing the guests’ keen interest.

Following the digital showcase, the tour moved to the back-end—KUKA’s manufacturing facilities. Guests witnessed how the digital designs are transformed into physical products, completing the full journey from concept to creation.

Guests were deeply impressed by the highly automated production environment and were wowed by how digital design data could be directly transferred into machine-readable data with the help of Kujiale’s system. They described the experience as “eye-opening.” KUKA representatives emphasized that their factory operates with minimal human intervention—only a small number of technicians are required to monitor and maintain the advanced machinery, underscoring the remarkable efficiency and precision enabled by their digital transformation.

Inside Coohom HQ

Following an inspiring visit to KUKA Home, the delegation arrived at the global headquarters of Manycore Tech, the parent company of Coohom, recognized as one of China’s pioneering “Six Little Dragons” in the tech sector.

Jerry Chen, the vice president of Manycore Tech, head of Coohom, opened the session with a warm welcome and highlighted KUKA Home’s digital transformation journey, emphasizing the remarkable achievements KUKA had unlocked through its partnership with Kujiale, framing this collaboration as a powerful example of what digital innovation can deliver for furniture brands.

Jerry Chen, Vice President of Manycore Tech, welcomes partners to the Coohom HQ and shares insights on the company’s commitment to global collaboration.

Jerry then introduced Coohom’s core commitment to localized global collaboration.
“What we achieve with partners like KUKA is only the beginning. At Coohom, we are committed to building growth stories worldwide—by being locally present and globally connected. We have established offices and service teams in key regions to ensure that our core technology is empowered by local expertise, tailored to your unique markets and needs.”

Closing with an invitation to collaborate, Jerry shared his hope that the day’s experiences had given guests clear insights into how Coohom could bring that same transformative value to their own operations. He expressed genuine excitement about the prospect of supporting these partners, and becoming an integral part of their future growth journeys.

The session then continued with an immersive presentation led by Coohom’s product team. The team first emphasized Manycore’s standing as a leader in global 3D spatial design platforms, then shifted to how this foundational strength powers Coohom’s spatial visualization capabilities.

To clarify what makes Coohom truly unique, the team distilled its value into three pillars: intuitive design/planning tools, hyper-realistic rendering, and an open Coohom ecosystem that integrates with existing business systems. The team also showcased the Coohom SmartLink Suite, a game-changer for customized furniture industry that seamlessly connects design to manufacturing, eliminating manual data entry and errors by automatically syncing designs to machinery.

To turn technical talk into tangible results, the product team walked through two compelling case studies that resonated deeply with guests:

  • Hanssem Implementation: The team detailed how Coohom streamlined the workflow for Hanssem, a leading Korean furniture brand, by providing multiple APIs to embed with Hanssem’s systems, supporting various departments.
  • AI Future Furniture (AIFF) Real-World Deployment: As one of the first international companies to implement Coohom and provide positive feedback, AIFF’s case was particularly impactful. The team showcased their successful phase-by-phase implementation process, highlighting the real-world deployment of the platform.

During the Q&A session, attendees showed strong interest in Coohom’s backend integration capabilities, specifically regarding SmartLink connectivity. The team explained: “We have successfully established SmartLink integration and are currently exploring similar CAM collaborations with manufacturing partners.”

The tour concluded at the company’s exhibition hall, which showcased Coohom’s history and cutting-edge technology. Guests explored displays tracing the company’s growth from a startup to a global solution provider, alongside real-time dashboards showing its global computing power.
